At Velora Furnish Living, we want your new pieces to arrive safely and be placed with care in your home. This Delivery & Installation Policy explains what is included in our delivery services, what you can expect on the day, and how we handle installation.
1. What Standard Delivery Includes
Standard delivery for furniture typically includes:
- Delivery to your front door or entrance; and
- Where reasonably possible and safe, delivery to a room of your choice and basic placement of the item.
The exact service may vary depending on: the size and weight of the item, your building or property access, and the delivery partner used in your area. If you are unsure what is included for your order, please contact us before delivery.
2. Your Responsibilities Before Delivery
To help ensure a smooth delivery and installation:
- Measure your space (doorways, staircases, lifts, corridors, and the final room) to confirm the item will fit.
- Check access routes for tight corners, low ceilings, or other obstacles.
- Clear the area where the furniture will be placed.
- Protect floors or surfaces if needed (for example, with coverings or pads).
- Inform us in advance of any access challenges (e.g. no lift in a high-rise building, security estate rules, narrow staircases).
If delivery or installation cannot be completed due to access issues not disclosed in advance, additional fees may apply for re-delivery or extra handling.
3. On the Day of Delivery
On the day of delivery:
- You may receive a time window or call from the delivery team.
- Please ensure someone is available at the address to receive and sign for the delivery.
- The delivery team will bring the item to your entrance and, where included, to the agreed room and place it in position.
You may be asked to sign a proof of delivery to confirm that the items have been received in good condition, subject to any visible issues you note at the time.
4. Assembly & Installation
Whether assembly or installation is included depends on the product:
- Some items may arrive fully assembled.
- Others may require simple assembly, which may or may not be included in standard delivery.
- Complex installation (for example, wall mounting, electrical work, or built-in fittings) is not included in standard delivery.
If assembly or installation is included, this will be clearly stated on the product page or in your order confirmation.
5. Extra Services (Where Available)
In some areas, additional services may be available at an extra fee, such as:
- Assembly of flat-packed or partially assembled items
- Removal of packaging materials
- Removal of old furniture, where offered by our partners
If you are interested in extra services, please contact us before or shortly after placing your order so we can confirm availability and pricing.
6. Reporting Issues with Delivery or Installation
If you notice any issues with your delivery or installation, please:
- Take clear photos of the issue.
- Note any visible damage with the delivery team where possible.
- Contact us at info@velorafurnishliving.co.za as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours of delivery.
We will review your case and work with you to find a fair solution, which may include repair, replacement, or other remedies in line with our policies.
7. Safety & Care
Our delivery partners aim to handle your furniture with care and to work safely in your home. They may refuse to carry out any action they believe is unsafe or likely to cause damage to your property or the product. We recommend that children and pets are kept clear of the delivery and installation area.
8. Limitations & Special Locations
In some cases, we may face limitations, for example: very high floors with no lift, extremely narrow staircases or doorways, remote or hard-to-reach locations, or properties with strict access rules. Additional fees or longer timeframes may apply.
